Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product team to gather BOMs, part specifications, and project requirements
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate procurement of components
- Source and evaluate vendors, negotiating terms and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Coordinate procurement activities from order placement to delivery, ensuring timelines are met
- Maintain and manage relationships with both onshore and offshore suppliers to ensure consistent quality and supply chain reliability
- Track order status, monitor shipments, and proactively address any delays or issues
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations
- Prepare procurement reports, track expenses, and analyze procurement performance
- Communicate with global vendors, adapting to time zones as necessary to maintain workflow
- Maintain internal asset records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and supply chain coordination
- Strong understanding of BOMs, technical drawings, and part specifications, particularly in a product development environment
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate communication with international vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Fluency or proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
