We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.

The Work itself :

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
• Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications : Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelors degree, OR 3 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications :

2 or more years of work experience

Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering, Computer Engineering, CIS / MIS, or a related field

Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent scale)

Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited to : C#, .NET, java, J2EE,python, PHP, Ruby on Rails, XML, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Objective-C, OOD, GoLang, Docker

Familiar with : JSON, REST APIs, MongoDB, AngularJS, ExpressJS, NodeJS, React

Proficiency in SQL, MongoDb

The ability to tackle challenges and address problems head-on

Strong ability to collaborate

Highly driven, inventive and results oriented

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 79,900.00 to 113,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA / HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
