Sr Site Reliability Engineer

Visa Technology & Operations LLC a Visa Inc. company needs a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin TX to

• Support Database Administration and Engineering Teams in the design development and deployment and management of Microsoft SQL database environments.
• Work crossfunctionally to gather requirements and provide recommendations for database standards.
• Provide technical expertise to design the most efficient and cost effective solutions for Microsoft SQL Servers.
• Install configure monitor upgrade and maintain MSSQL databases in production and nonproduction environments
• Work closely with other Infrastructure operations and engineering product development business operations and technical operations to ensure delivery of database services within the SLAs and performance target set.
• Provide technical expertise and handson support in consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms.
• Implement / support databases highavailability solutions Database replication encryption and disaster recovery solutions
• Manage support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database technology and infrastructure adhering to the architectural guidelines and policies.
• Provide database administration for off the shelf and internally developed applications ensure continuous 24x7 operation and availability in support of mission critical business applications and participating in oncall.
• Provide regular database capacity planning and archival solutions related to database growth and system utilization trend analysis predictive future database resource requirements and the structured organized reporting of the same.
• Participate in the evaluation selection and implementation of DBA tools to improve the effectiveness of tasks such as performance monitoring and tuning recovery and database change management processing.
• Write / maintain PowerShell scripts for DB automation and application maintenance.
• Position reports to the Austin Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership / site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements : No travel required.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $ 105800.00 USD to $ 164100.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
