VPG seeks a results-driven Senior Managing Director to lead our global Thermo-Mechanical Simulator business unit.

This is an on-site position is seated at DSI in Poestenkill, NY.

As The Senior Managing Director , This Position Will

• Lead global P&L business unit focused on Thermo-Mechanical simulators for steel mills and materials labs, overseeing sales, marketing, operations, and engineering while developing strategic initiatives to optimize market potential and profitability within budget.
• Oversee all DSI functions: sales, business development, marketing, engineering, and operations.
• Manage worldwide sales teams, field service, and technical support while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and control costs.
• Drive operational excellence through production efficiency and inventory control while working cross-functionally with global teams including Finance, HR, IT, and Logistics.
• Develop and execute annual business plans.
• Implement VPG corporate policies within the DSI site.
• Drive long-term growth strategies.

Requirements

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Materials, or Physics preferred) MBA.
• 3 years of P&L management, preferably as a General Manager.
• Strong industry knowledge aligned with educational background.

• Base Salary: $200,000 - $225,000

The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time.
