Job Summary
Operates reel packaging equipment to final package product.
What You Will Be Doing
- Starts machine, adjusts speed of lead straightener and taper.
- Always gives close visual attention to ensure machine is operating properly.
- Watches reeled units for missed spacing, replaces, or inserts units when necessary.
- Splices areas when necessary and helps checks counts on reels.
- Cleans and sets up machine.
- Makes changes in spacing discs, adjusts machine to proper width.
- Changes fingers and adjusts tension and setting. Removes, cleans and reinstalls (to the .006th of an inch) straightener shoes.
- Cleans straightener rollers.
- Installs new tape and adjusts to exact width.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to all aspects of each operation
- This includes making sure product meets all quality specifications and packing requirements
