Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Marshall, MN is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer Supervisor. Responsible for providing support to our manufacturing teams as they work to build our products. This role works to engineer products from start to finish, working with both customers and production teams along the way in order to provide world-class products.
Job Location:
Located in Marshall, MN just north of SMSU and located in the industrial park.
What you will be doing:
Provides quality training, supervision and support for inspection, clerical and technical personnel in both Marshall and Montevideo.
Manages both internal and external quality system audits such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and customer audits.
Manage quality system procedures, updating as needed
Addresses process, product and reliability issues in close cooperation with Engineering & Production Management
Address complaints and other customer-identified issues with coordination of all involved departments
Work closely with Purchasing to address supplier issues
Establishes procedures for incoming, in-process and final inspection
Manage corrective action program in the plant
Determines nonconforming material disposition with Engineering.
Review and approve ECO’s for changes to production-released parts, ensuring internal & customer requirements are continually met
Review customer-specific quality requirements, PO requirements, and customer surveys
Identify opportunities for improvements, prioritize, lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects
Ensure the calibration system is maintained
Prepares reports on quality, customer complaints, corrective actions, supplier performance and other customer specific reports as required.
Coordinate completion of first article inspection reports
Other duties as required
Occasional travel to customers or suppliers to resolve major quality issues.
Occasional travel to other Vishay facilities to assist in internal audits, developing best practices, and standardizing procedures.
What you will bring:
Equivalent to completion of an undergraduate degree.
Requires excellent communication skills to effectively work with customers, employees and suppliers.
Requires excellent writing skills.
Must have extensive knowledge of industry and specifications such as ISO 13485 and ISO 9001,
Must be capable of becoming a lead auditor for ISO 13485.
Requires computer skills, including experience with WORD, ACCESS and EXCEL software.
Must have an understanding of statistical process control techniques used in manufacturing.
Pay Range: $65,000-75,000 annually. This position is a full-time position.
