Senior Staff Accountant Visible Changes - Houston, TX
The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, an interest in developing processes and systems, be proficient in Excel and very hands on. Working knowledge of real estate accounting, NetSuite software and Yardi software is preferred. Must be a team player as well as able to work independently. Exceptional analytical skills are a must to find problems and resolutions. This job provides excellent opportunity for promotion. This is a small, tight-knit team and so personality fit will be very important.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Financial reporting for multiple companies including Real Estate companies : General Ledgers, accruals, intercompany transactions, monthly journal entries and monthly closes
- Financial Analysis and Ad Hoc Reporting
- Prepare various reports and budgets for upper management
- Fixed assets : Maintain and record monthly journal entries and reconciliation at year end
- Maintain and reconcile Gift Card balances
- Month-end close and Year-end close
- Form 1099s : Collect and prepare
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconcile all Balance sheet and intercompany accounts
- Non-profit accounting
- Audit packages due at year end for Tax Accountant
- Assist as needed in AP, Inventory and Payroll Salary Dependent on Experience

Qualifications and Skills
Required : Bachelor's Degree of Accounting
Licensed CPA is a plus
