Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.
- Handle customer transactions efficiently using the POS system.
- Process cash handling and operate the cash register accurately.
- Engage in upselling and suggestive selling to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain knowledge of products and services to effectively assist customers.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and refunds.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
- Proficiency in phone etiquette to handle customer calls effectively.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a cash register.
- Basic math skills for transaction processing and inventory management.
- Experience in grocery store settings is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
