Doctor of Optometry

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases and conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and other visual aids as needed.
• Provide patient education on eye health, vision correction options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
• Manage patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
• Assist in the sales of optical products, ensuring patients understand their options.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid CA state license to practice optometry.
• Experience in patient care with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with vital signs assessment and basic medical record management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Sales experience in an optical setting is a plus but not required.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $630.74 - $665.54 per day

Expected hours: 16 per week
