Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient care and eye examinations
- Explain the examination process to patients and prepare them
- Administer visual exams with precision and care
- Provide exceptional customer service during all patient encounters
- Chart patient's vision history accurately
- Operate a variety of testing equipment including manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, or OCT
- Follow protocols for equipment testing and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and sanitized examination environment
- Display proficiency in eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate demeanor with patients
- Prior experience in optometry is a plus, but not required
