What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Center Associate position at Vision Concepts, LLC?
Vision Concepts Garden Center is looking for a friendly, outgoing individual to work in the garden center! We are looking for someone who loves plants and the outdoors! Plant knowledge and prior nursery/garden center experience is preferred. POS system experience required. This job requires physical stamina (loading mulch, soil product and plants), heavy lifting/manual labor and working outside in all weather conditions. You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends.
Duties
- Assist customers in finding and selecting plants, flowers, and gardening supplies
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garden center
- Water plants and ensure they are properly cared for
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Operate the cash register for sales transactions
- Assist customers with loading product
