- Coaching responsibilities should be executed with a compassionate approach towards participants, while also demonstrating a profound respect for the sport. These responsibilities must align with the following:

- USAG and Vision Gymnastics policies
- USAG SafeSport policies and procedures
- Coaches are expected to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Collaboration with fellow coaches and staff is essential for effective teamwork.
- Positive reinforcement should be utilized frequently to encourage participants.
- Coaches should uplift both their colleagues and the gymnasts, avoiding any negative remarks.
- Body language should convey a professional attitude, and coaches should refrain from sitting while coaching unless absolutely necessary.
- Attendance at scheduled meets and events for assigned athletes is mandatory.
- Coaches must be capable of standing for the duration of their assigned shifts and will be responsible for setting up and dismantling stations for each class.
- This includes the ability to follow lesson plans and visual aids provided for station setups.
- Coaches must possess the capability to lead and supervise athletes across various age groups and should be able to comprehend and follow verbal instructions effectively
- Coaches must have the ability to lift 50 pounds or more. This role entails engaging in various physical activities, which include, but are not limited to,
- spotting, relocating mats, and adjusting equipment—activities such as pulling, lifting, crouching, balancing, and climbing.
- The position necessitates a foundational knowledge of basic spotting techniques and the physical aptitude to acquire new spotting methods that evolve over time.
- Coaches will be responsible for establishing a safe gym environment, which encompasses, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Complying with safety protocols for all equipment
- Ensuring the use of safe techniques during spotting
- Reviewing safety protocols of the gym and facility with new athletes
- Modifying equipment to suit the age, ability, and size of the athletes
- Being well-versed in emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Coaching responsibilities should be executed with a compassionate approach towards participants, while also demonstrating a profound respect for the sport. These responsibilities must align with the following:
The ideal candidate would be willing to work 3-5 days per week from 3:00 -8:00pm Monday-Friday and be ready to commit for at least 1 year to our program!
