Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Data Security Analyst to support the development and maintenance of our Defensive Cyber Infrastructure. This position is integral to the security and integrity of our clients' data and systems, ensuring that sensitive information remains protected from cyber threats. You will be responsible for securing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, as well as supporting a variety of security tools and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and Manage Security Systems: Oversee and respond to security alerts, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all information.
System Hardening and Security Configuration: Assist in implementing best practices for securing operating systems, applications, and networks.
Security Incident Response: Assist in the detection, investigation, and mitigation of security breaches and incidents.
Security Compliance and Audits: Ensure that security protocols and configurations comply with relevant industry standards and government regulations.
Security Automation: Develop scripts to automate security processes and improve response times to incidents.
Collaborate with Teams: Work alongside other security teams, system administrators, and network engineers to implement security solutions across various platforms and infrastructures.
Documentation and Reporting: Provide detailed reports on security findings, incidents, and responses, contributing to incident post-mortems and improvements.
Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing: Assist in conducting vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School 2 years of IT experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in IT and Data Security, including network monitoring, incident response, and system administration.
Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based systems.
Experience with Unix system administration and scripting.
Clearance: Must Have a Secret Clearance.
Certifications:
(8570) IAT II
CSSP-IR (Cyber Security Service Provider- Incident Responder)
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Linux/Unix systems administration.
Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python).
Experience with security tools and technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPNs, SIEM tools, etc.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
Experience in log analysis and network traffic analysis.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive data with a high degree of confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications
Additional Certifications:
Security (CompTIA)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK) for monitoring and securing log data.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with data encryption technologies and practices.
