Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate the ordering and maintaining of contact lenses.
- Accurately gather, document, and handle patient contact lens orders and payments.
- Teach patients how to care for and use contact lenses.
- Verify insurance benefits per patient request, file contact lens claims for any patients wishing to use their insurance benefits.
- Cross-train to perform other tasks, including diagnostic testing and administrative front desk duties.
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of a contact lens, optician or ophthalmic assistant or technician program strongly preferred (COA or COT)
- Experience working as a contact lens technician, optician, ophthalmic technician or scribe is preferred
- Experience with EMR tools a plus
- Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook, excel, word)
