Job Title: Vision Therapy Office Assistant
Location: Coconut Creek AND Boyton Beach, FL (Must be able to commute to both offices)
Schedule: 4 days per week

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vision Therapy Office Assistant to support both patient care and administrative operations. This role is a hybrid position, with two days focused on patient care and two days dedicated to administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working with children and families, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Patient Care (2 Days per Week)
- Perform pre-testing for eye exams, including visual acuity, binocular vision screening, and other diagnostic tests.
- Assist in processing testing results and preparing reports for the optometrist.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and parents during vision therapy sessions as needed.
- Ensure a welcoming and professional environment for all patients.
Administrative Duties (2 Days per Week)
- Billing Support: Assist with processing insurance claims, payments, and patient invoices.
- Coordination of Care: Communicate with referring providers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Phone & Front Desk: Answer calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to patients and families.
- Office Management: Maintain accurate patient records, organize testing materials, and handle other office tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical office or vision therapy setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with children (including those with special needs) and families.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
