Position Overview:
Vision Net is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic Wholesale Carrier Services team. This position is responsible for the overall management and operational excellence of our Wholesale Carrier Services department. The Operations Manager will lead a team of professionals, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery to our carrier partners and customers. This role requires a proven ability to manage and motivate a team, drive operational excellence, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Vision Net is a leading provider of network and technology solutions committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the daily activities of the wholesale carrier services team, including project management, order fulfillment, provisioning, service assurance, and customer support.
- Team Performance: Set clear performance goals for the team, monitor individual and team performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement process improvements and workflows to enhance operational efficiency, manage budget, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Project Management: Establish and maintain project schedules, consistent project cadence, ensure high project performance, and proactively identify and swiftly resolve any project-related challenges.
- Service Assurance: Manage service level agreements (SLAs) with carrier partners, ensuring compliance and meeting performance targets.
- Innovation and Growth: Collaborate with the VP of Network Operations and cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative operational/network solutions that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Industry Awareness: Stay up to date about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network infrastructure and security.
- Operational Metrics: Monitor and analyze service performance, KPIs, and operational metrics, and generate regular reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing teams. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, OSS/BSS systems, and project management software. Strong knowledge of telecommunication technologies, standards, and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and mentorship skills. Proficiency in project management and improving operational performance.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed for inter-office visits, client meetings, industry events, and other business-related purposes.
