Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and prescription of corrective lenses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose various ocular conditions.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients regarding eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
  • Ensure a clean and aseptic environment during all patient interactions and procedures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice optometry.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and visual system.
  • Familiarity with optical systems and equipment used in eye care practices.
  • Ability to perform vital sign assessments as part of patient evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
  • Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques is a plus.

Pay: $100.00 per hour
