What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Vision Partners LLC?
Description
At Rothchild Eye Institute. we are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team! Ideally, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a technician in a successful ophthalmology practice and having your certification is a big plus! Our team works very closely together, so ability to work well with others, eagerness to learn and a focus on patient care is key.
As an ophthalmic technician in our state-of-the art practice, you will be:
- Experienced in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Efficient and accurate at interviewing patients and documenting histories.
- Able to ensure charts are updated and accurate.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease and ocular medications.
- Experienced with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers,
- Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting.
- Proficient with EMR computer programs.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with
- Refractions
- checking vision, identifying chief complaint
- IOP
- various diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visuals)
