1st shift Picker

Summary
As a 1st shift Picker, you will be an essential part of the distribution center team responsible for picking orders with the required quality. You will utilize your core skills in picking, packing, and order picking to ensure accurate and efficient handling of products. As a picker, you will use RF scanners and operate heavy equipment. You will contribute to the smooth flow of shipping and receiving processes. Join our team and become a key player in maintaining the high standards of our warehouse operations.

```Duties```
- Utilize order sheets to pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate material handling equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move stock and retrieve items from high shelves
- Perform order fulfillment tasks, including locating items, scanning barcodes, and verifying quantities
- Prepare orders for shipping by packaging items securely and labeling packages appropriately
- Receive incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and discrepancies, and organizing stock in designated areas
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reporting any discrepancies
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment

```Skills```
- Experience in materials handling and operating heavy equipment such as pallet jacks (not required)
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and packing
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving of stock
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes, including scanning barcodes and verifying quantities
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, including inspecting incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with material handling equipment

- Familiarity with RF scanner usage

- Previous experience in order picking and packing
- Capability to operate reach trucks and forklifts
- Understanding of warehouse management systems
- Skilled in stocking and quality control procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75 per hour
