What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Vision Search Partners LLC?
Our client stable, profitable, 100% employee-owned service business based in the Danbury area. They are investing in both measured sustainable top-line growth as well as the continuous improvement of business processes. They typically work from home one day per week.
The Assistant Controller will work alongside the company’s top financial professional to increase the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting and the quality and usefulness of budgets, forecasts and analysis.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including the preparation of financial statements.
- Optimize workflows in the company’s new accounting system, Intacct.
- Drive greater accountability to the budget throughout the organization.
- Develop multi-year forecasting models.
The incoming Assistant Controller will possess a mix of accounting and financial planning experience gained in hands-on leadership roles in small to midsize service businesses. Strong Excel skills are required, and prior experience with Intacct will be viewed favorably.
