Overview
DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and performance using tools such as Earned Value Management.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate conflict management among team members to ensure a collaborative work environment.

- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time

- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Ensure all projects changes meets the developed quality assurance metrics before it is released to the user community
- Manage project portfolios effectively, prioritizing tasks based on business needs.
- Oversee product development processes, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Utilize content management systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Design programs that enhance team performance and project outcomes.
