Vision Therapy assistant under the direction of an Optometrist provides various activities and therapeutic treatments to improve the visual system. Must work well with children, some children may have special needs, and adults with visual problems. Position : Hours : Monday-Thursday 1-5(work along side another therapist), Possibly Saturday 8-12(once trained to be independent). Potential to increase hours as needed. Responsibilities
- Typically, 45 minute sessions working with patient and instructing how to do various vision exercises to improve function and enhance sports performance
- Also work with post-concussion patients and neurological conditions.
- Instruct how to do home therapy
- Keep equipment and room organized, clean, and maintain inventory
- Some appointment scheduling for developmental exams and follow ups
- Collections of fees
