Job Description:
As an Optometric Technician, you will be responsible for performing key tasks that support the doctor's ability to deliver top-notch care. Your duties will include:
- Greeting and assisting patients as they prepare for their exam
- Performing preliminary testing using various diagnostic equipment.
- Gathering and documenting patient history.
- Assisting with contact lens fittings and providing patient education.
- Managing contact lens inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Performing diagnostic tests to assist with patient diagnoses and treatment.
- Assisting patients with medication refills
- Assist patients with contact lens ordering and tracking
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician is required.
- Experience with EHR systems is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use medical equipment and technology confidently.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, compassionate, and focused on excellent patient care.
Pay will be based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
