A Contact Lens Technician is responsible for assisting patients with contact lens fittings, providing education on proper lens care, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the contact lens department. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a solid understanding of contact lens products and procedures. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities :
- Assist patients with contact lens selection, fitting, and training.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care, handling, and hygiene.
- Verify and process contact lens prescriptions with accuracy.
- Maintain inventory and manage orders for contact lenses and supplies.
- Troubleshoot patient concerns regarding comfort, vision, and lens wear.
- Coordinate with optometrists and other staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient interactions and maintain detailed records.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including invoicing and insurance verification.
