```Duties:```
- Perform preliminary tests on patients, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupillary responses.
- Obtain patient medical history, including any relevant symptoms or complaints.
- Assist with contact lens fittings and teach patients how to insert, remove, and care for their lenses.
- Administer diagnostic tests, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Willingness to be cross trained
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification as an optometric technician is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical or optometry setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Eyefinity experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes is a plus.
