Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vision screenings to assess patients' eye health
- Manage the operations of our mobile eye clinic, ensuring efficiency and safety
- Load, secure, inspect, and maintain the vehicle, adhering to safety protocols
- Transport the mobile clinic to various predetermined site visits throughout Northern and Central New Jersey
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the vehicle and work area for safety and efficiency
- Facilitate patient care by assisting with frame selection and measuring for eyeglasses
- Dispense eyeglasses and prepare necessary administrative reports daily
- Conduct pre-testing procedures for eye examinations and maintain a smooth workflow
- Uphold professional standards in customer service and driving performance
- Licensed New Jersey Optician or Apprentice status
- Valid driver's license with a strong driving record; familiarity with the Newark, NJ Metro area is essential
- Proficient organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); familiarity with EMR systems is an advantage
- Bilingual skills, including Spanish, are a plus
- Proven experience working with children and collaborating with school administrators is preferred
- Ability to pass a Department of Justice background check (LiveScan), TB screening, and drug test
- Candidates should demonstrate a proactive and successful work history
