Job Overview:
The Mental Health Clinician provides counseling and therapeutic support to individuals, families, and groups facing emotional or psychological challenges. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote mental health and well-being. Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify clinical needs, understand client history, and formulate accurate diagnoses.
Treatment Plan Development: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address individual client needs and goals. Incorporate evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
In-Home Coaching Sessions: Conduct in-home sessions, as needed, with CYF parents and families to provide guidance, support, and coaching. Teach effective parenting techniques and behavior management strategies.
Counseling and Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address a range of emotional and psychological issues, promoting resilience and recovery.

Goal Setting and Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and track their progress throughout the treatment process.
Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices, integrating new evidence-based techniques into therapy sessions.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure coordinated care.
Crisis Intervention: Offer crisis intervention and support as needed, providing immediate assistance, and connecting clients with appropriate resources.
Psychoeducation: Provide educational information to clients and their families to improve understanding of mental health issues and available resources.
Ethical Standards: Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards, ensuring compliance with state and national licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Licensure (preferred not needed): State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
Experience: Previous experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high degree of empathy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of mental health. Must attend weekly supervision and participate in VTP activities as needed.
Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance may be required for travel to client locations.
