School Bus Driver -Part Time

Vision Transportation is a family owned and operated company who believes in a fun, friendly work environment. We proudly support communities in the following school districts: ISD 727, ISD 728, and ISD 885. Work out of one of our offices located in either Big Lake, Elk River, Rogers, Zimmerman, or St. Michael-Albertville. We are currently looking for enthusiastic school bus drivers to join our team!

No experience necessary! We offer paid training at $23 an hour and support you through the entire process to get your class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.

Already licensed school bus drivers get a hiring bonus of $1,500, plus an additional $250 if you have airbrake.

Responsibilities and Duties

1) Drive a regular route Monday through Friday

2) Read and understand street signs, route sheets and maps

3) Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including child checks

4) Assist students in the loading and unloading process; maintain awareness of traffic to help direct students in safely crossing roads

5) Communicate and work effectively with department staff, school personnel, students, parents, and the public

6) Attend all safety and training meetings

7) Conduct emergency evacuations

8) Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily

9) Maintain a clean bus including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning interior/exterior windows

10) Proper use of radio dispatch equipment

11) Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A valid MN driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a drug test, physical and background screening
• Professional level English fluency
