Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Agile Project Manager. This position involves close collaboration with the technology teams responsible for business applications and reporting.
- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Organize and lead key Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Business Analysis: Work with the development team to gather and document business requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project progress, gather feedback, and ensure that stakeholder expectations are met. This includes providing regular updates and presentations to various stakeholders, such as executives and internal customers, as well as facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required.
- Backlog Management: Collaborate with business and development teams to manage the development backlog. This involves prioritizing tasks/stories and ensuring that user stories are well-defined so that the team clearly understands the work to be completed in each sprint.
- Project Planning: Define the project’s scope, schedule milestones, tasks, and objectives, while maintaining the project plan.
- Project Coordination/Delivery: Guide the development team through the project lifecycle by resolving day-to-day issues, keeping the project on schedule, and improving overall workflow through process enhancements. Ensure that projects deliver the desired results and benefits to the business.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks proactively. Address potential issues that could affect project delivery, ensuring that the team can adapt and respond effectively.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the development team's performance and project progress using various metrics, such as velocity and burn-down charts. This helps assess how well the team is performing and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, which is fundamental to the Agile philosophy. Encourage teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes, fostering an environment where feedback is valued and acted upon.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working with development teams as a Scrum Master or Project Manager.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Kanban and Scrum, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAFe principles is also a plus.
