Hybrid Project Manager/Sales Representative
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Hybrid Project Manager/Sales Representative to join our Fire Business Unit. This hybrid role combines project management and sales responsibilities, focusing on promoting and selling the Wildfire Shield product line within California. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned projects while actively developing and expanding customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, field experience, and a proven track record in selling fireproof protective coatings or engineered building materials.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities for the Wildfire Shield product line in the residential, commercial, and Department of Transportation (DOT) markets in California.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, architects, DOT personnel, and distributors.
- Conduct product presentations, on-site visits, and technical demonstrations to showcase the benefits and applications of Wildfire Shield.
- Provide detailed technical and product support to clients, offering solutions tailored to their project needs.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and growth objectives within the assigned territory.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring the successful implementation of Wildfire Shield solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, logistics, production) to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- Proactively address any issues or challenges and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must reside in California.
- 5 years of experience in sales and/or project management roles within the construction or materials industry.
- Proven success in selling fireproof coatings or engineered building materials.
- Familiarity with the residential, commercial, and DOT construction sectors in California.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software.
- Willingness to travel throughout California as needed.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Existing relationships within California's DOT or with large contractors.
- Certifications related to project management (e.g., PMP) or sales (e.g., CPSM).
