A growing company in Nashville is expanding its IT department and is seeking a Storage Administrator.
The IT Storage Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's storage infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of storage systems, as well as planning and implementing storage solutions to meet the organization's needs. The responsibilities also include managing enterprise data and system backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
- Monitor storage and backup performance, and perform necessary upgrades and optimizations.
- Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues.
- Document storage configurations, processes, and procedures.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data storage and backup administration.
- Experience with storage management tools and software.
- Demonstrable knowledge of storage technologies and protocols (e.g., RAID, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
