Overview
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will collaborate with our Engineering team to deliver data-driven solutions across various aspects of our platform. Your work will focus on projects that enhance user experience and efficiency through the application of machine learning techniques.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Education/Language:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Exceptional proficiency in English is required.
Core Requirements:
- Strong foundational skills as a data scientist, with the ability to extend beyond your core expertise. Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of various machine learning techniques and an understanding of key parameters that influence their performance.
- Capability to develop experimental and analytical plans for the data modeling process.
- Experience in establishing strong baselines and accurately determining cause-and-effect relationships.
- Understanding of relevant statistical measures, including confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, and the development and evaluation of data sets.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in building secure, concurrent, and distributed applications.
- Experience with Computer Vision and Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Caffe, Torch, CNTK, MXNet).
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Proficiency in data science, analytics, or big data solutions (Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Python, etc.).
- Strong experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, with Agile methodology (Sprint) experience being a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with technical team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's or Ph.D. in a related discipline.
- Expertise in deep learning, distributed systems, and working with large image datasets.
- Experience with general software release cycles and deploying machine learning or predictive analytics models at scale.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with defect/feature management systems.
