Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases to support various applications and business needs.
- Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the database.
- Utilize tools such as Tableau to create visualizations and reports that communicate data insights effectively.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize database performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Analyze large datasets using SQL queries to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Work with technologies such as Spark and Hadoop for big data processing when necessary.
- Participate in database design discussions to enhance system architecture and functionality.
- Write Python scripts for automation of routine tasks related to data processing.
- Provide support for troubleshooting database issues and performance tuning.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop is a plus.
- Understanding of database design principles and best practices.
