Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Optician/optical sales associate/receptionist to join our new office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional optical care to our patients. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and ensuring that all optical products meet the highest standards of quality and service. Your expertise in optical knowledge and customer service will contribute to enhancing the overall patient experience. Cross trained with experiences of optometry office front desk reception experiences is a plus since we are a newly opened optometry office.
Duties
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Provide information on lens options, coatings, and other optical products.
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with optometrists to fulfill prescriptions accurately.
- Manage inventory of optical products, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
- Make appointment for patient, check patients in and out and insurance eligibility check when needed
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to eye care.
- Experience in senior care is a plus, as it enhances communication with older patients.
- Strong background in optical knowledge, including lens types and frame styles.
- Retail sales experience is essential for effectively assisting customers.
- Knowledge of Eyefinity Practice Management and Weave software.
- Experience in retail management can enhance operational efficiency within the clinic setting.
- Understanding of clinic operations and workflow is beneficial for seamless patient care.
- Awareness of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained
- Experiences in optometry office front desk reception work
