RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of scalable IT solutions across applications, systems architecture, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership, set coding standards, and guide development teams.
- Develop advanced features with robust testing, automation strategies, and deployment orchestration.
- Drive technical capability growth to align with future business objectives.
- Own critical software components through the full SDLC, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Manage multiple high-impact projects, ensuring technical alignment and smooth integration.
- Lead estimation, write detailed use cases, and collaborate with QA and Product teams.
- Champion clean, self-documenting code and maintain accessible development processes.
- Introduce tools and automation to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers; promote best practices.
- Participate in architectural reviews and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8 years of Java / J2EE with deep Spring Boot & Microservices expertise.
- 5 years of Angular 12 front-end development experience.
- Strong background in TDD/BDD and test automation (JUnit, Rest Assured, Appium, Cucumber).
- 5 years in cloud services (GCP preferred).
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Expertise in CI/CD, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns, Agile methods, and architecture best practices.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable deployments.
- Strong OOP, debugging, and high-quality code practices.
- Leadership in agile teams and mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong Java Spring Boot development and automation testing using Java and Selenium.
This is a 7-month contract opportunity with a leading global organization based in St. Louis, MO. There is strong potential to extend or convert. We offer 2 days a week of telecommuting! Successful candidates have a high level of initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
