What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Technician position at Visionary Automotive Group?
The Body Shop Technician is responsible for performing structural and non-structural repairs in accordance to manufacture specifications.
The Body Shop Technician is supervised by the Body Shop Director.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Review and perform repairs as outline by estimate.
- Communicate with estimator throughout the tear down process to help identity hidden damages.
- Perform electronic measuring and pulls in a timely and safe manner.
- Perform quality check on work completed before and after paint.
- Complete BMW, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover certification within six months of employment
- Keep the work area organized.
- Weld aluminum, metal, and silicon bronze as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer's vehicles.
- Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
- Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
