Job Description :
Position : Maintenance Technician / Millwright
Location : Monroe Township, New Jersey
Salary : $28-$35 / hr depends on exp
Shift : 1st Shift
Requirements :
Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintenance Technician / Millwright in an industrial environment
Must have own hand tools
Responsibilities :
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on all facility and production equipment with assistance.
All work performed will be in accordance to GMPs.
Troubleshoots and corrects all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions on production equipment.
Set-up and assemble new equipment.
Examines equipment to spot potential problems, leaks or malfunctions and reports them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Assembles, installs, and packs molds as assigned.
Maintains machines, tools, and work area in a clean and safe orderly manner.
Must perform all duties within established safety guidelines and procedures.
Follow lock-out / tag-out procedures.
Follow requirements established under Job Safety Analysis training.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Skills :
Must have two (2) years experience as a mechanic in a similar environment.
Must be able to use precision measuring equipment.
Competent at reading and understanding most typical fluid power schematics.
Competent at reading and understanding most typical circuit diagrams.
Competent on tubing and piping jobs found in shop work or general repair and installations.
Adequate knowledge of electrical systems to install and troubleshoot motor starters and other related items with limited supervision.
Must be thoroughly knowledgeable in lubrication procedures.
Must be able to cut and weld with accuracy.
Must be able to use parts and machine manuals.
Must have basic knowledge of all types of equipment on the job site.
Competent to disassemble, inspect, measure and reassemble, test most valve and hydraulic cylinders.
Desire to broaden skills needed to advance in the Maintenance department.
Must possess a Berry forklift and be able to operate power industrial equipment (scissor-lift, forklift, hand-jack, etc.)
Education and / or Equivalent Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Appropriate vocational training
Physical Requirements / Work Environment :
Must be able to work nine (9) hours per day, five (5) days per week. Overtime may be necessary.
Must provide own hand tools.
Must work shift hours and days of the week as required.
Must have a high degree of mobility, some repairs require awkward positions in order to access all areas of equipment (such as squatting and laying under machines). Must be able to climb a ladder.
Must be able to comply with cGMP requirements hairnets, beard guards. No jewelry except for a plain band without stones.
Noise level is 90dB.
Polyethylene, polystyrene, PET, polypropylene, polyurethane, and purging compound materials are both processed and ground, which provides some fumes and dust.
Must be able to wear protective clothing such as steel-toed shoes, earplugs, hard hat, and Arc Flash requirements.
Will have exposure to high-pressure moving parts, shielded surfaces, which have elevated temperatures (350 600 degrees), high-pressure hydraulic systems, and high voltage and amperage systems.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs. occasionally during the day.
Must be able to stand approximately 8-12 hours a day.
This position requires a high level of interaction with all personnel, which requires hearing skills. Must be able to interact with other employees.
Maintenance personnel are part of the Plant Emergency Organization Team, which requires them to move quickly to shut-off main electric and gas service in the event of an emergency.
