Summary
Under the general supervision of the BSA/Deposit Compliance Officer, this position independently performs a wide variety of general or specialized functions in regard to Deposit Compliance. Conducts compliance reviews and testing of compliance with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the company. Reports results and develops recommendations for correcting compliance deficiencies. This position also provides administrative support for the bank’s Trust and Farm Management department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
General Compliance
- Assists with writing and reviewing procedures and training manuals.
- Provide staff compliance support.
- Assist with Bank Secrecy Act Administration (BSA) as directed by BSA Officer
Deceased Customers
- Completes Estate inventories. This may include working with the estate attorney
- Review all required documentation on deceased customers
- Work with bank staff in obtaining appropriate documentation on deceased customers
- Process interest adjustments for deceased customers and beneficiaries for year-end reporting
Garnishments
- Processes all garnishment/levy requests
Checkback
- Performs check back on all new CIF records and maintenance
- Performs check back on all new DDA, CDA and SDB and maintenance
- Performs check back on beneficial ownership documentation
- Indexes all “scanned” documents in director
Reg CC Holds
- Reviews Reg CC hold forms for accuracy
- Reviews Reg CC hold set ups for accuracy
Overdrafts
- Reviews overdrafts and makes overdraft decisions for all VisionBank offices daily, with the exclusion of employee overdrafts
- Ensures timely distribution of delinquent deposit account notices
- Tracks and maintains charge-off and recovery items for loans and deposits in risk mitigation software
- Tracks overdraft waives and provides reports to management quarterly
IRAs
- Reviews new IRA files and all IRA transactions for accuracy
- Prepares and processes all required IRA documentation to customer, including annual documentation
- Performs year end processing and reviews for IRAs including excess contributions and ensuring required minimum distributions (RMD) have been satisfied
- Oversees & administers all RMDs
- Processes required reporting on deceased IRA customers and beneficiary payouts
Miscellaneous
- Performs pre-year end system reviews
- Monitor MMDA excessive transactions
- Overdrawn account monitoring
- Assist with Return Mail
- Prepare management reports as needed
- Performs special projects as assigned
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and keep up to date on regulation changes
- Adheres to all State and Federal Banking regulations
- Participates in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image of the bank

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of two years of banking experience required.
