Position Summary:
The Team Leader will oversee Production, Quality, and Safety on the shift. The Team leader will have four key areas of responsibility with respect to production: supervising, processing, materials, and quality. He or she must have the ability to efficiently set-up, start-up, and maintain machinery (screen printers, die cutters, etc.) and associated auxiliary equipment while overseeing operations. The Team leader will also see that raw material is handled and processed correctly and will ensure that employees are adequately supervised and have safe working conditions.
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication and decision-making skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Production
- Demonstrates a high level of proficiency and knowledge in all areas of a designated product lines
- Works closely with Supervisor to facilitate and ensure production goals are met and high levels of communication are maintained between Supervisor and team members
- Manages production labor resources on the shop floor
- Cross trained in all areas of production
- Train personnel in proper machinery operations, so that they can perform their jobs in a safe productive manner
- Diagnosing and correct problems with processes, set ups, automation, etc.
- Comprehend and work with material handling systems
- Coordinate and assist with training and corrective action completion/monitoring
- Maintain housekeeping and organization of entire production floor and warehouse (5s’)
- Coordinate staffing and/or machine assignments, including prioritization of secondary operations, mold changes, processing problems.
- Pick Pack Ship
- Scans inventory and raw materials using handheld barcoding equipment
- Prints and applies labels
- Assists in packaging, staging, and warehousing of raw materials and finished goods

- Manages bin and stock levels for assigned production area
- Communicate with warehouse personnel and production associates to support production goals
- Notifies personnel responsible when product and/or raw material shortages exist
- Maintains all required paper and electronic documents in accordance with company and ISO 9001 requirements and procedures
- Assists Supervisor as necessary
- Ensures trash is removed daily and production areas are kept clean and free of obstacles and debris
- Assists in general facility maintenance and upkeep as necessary
- Observes and supports all company ISO quality standards
- Supports and promotes a clean and safe work environment for all employees
- Interface with Quality, Materials and Scheduling personnel to ensure efficient resolution of problems and minimal machine downtime
- Read and follow all instructions on the Quality Assurance Requirements document (QAR)Physical Demands:
- Ability to work a minimum of full-time hours; overtime required based on Production department schedules
- Fine motor skills – use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle and/or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit for extended periods of time which may include vehicle
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to travel independently and safely in most environments
Work Environment
- Primarily work in a climate-controlled environment
- May be exposed to fumes, dust and outdoor weather conditions
- As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects. Your work may take place outdoors in various weather conditions. You may be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noises, and dangerous machinery, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hardhats, protective suits, and respiratory devices. Workers must exercise caution and be adept at identifying and mitigating potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
