Position Title: Sales Material Estimator
Reports to: Estimating Manager

Under the supervision of the department manager, the Sales Material Estimator is responsible for assessing material compositions, updating material documentation and procure required materials. They are responsible for maintaining expertise in the supplier and sub-tier supplier market. They must have excellent written and verbal skills, work well with others and be able to concentrate on performing tasks and commit to safety rules.
Essential Functions:

- Assess the material composition of each component listed within the RFQ (Request for Quotation).
- Input cost data into designated material and commercial item documentation.
- Maintain expertise in the supplier and sub-tier supplier market.
- Engage effectively with the supply base.
- Uphold and contribute to corporate quality policies and objectives.
- Perform measurements of modeled components
- Procure materials based on the Bill of Materials (B.O.M.) or CAD models, ensuring additional stock is ordered when required for machining purposes.
- Be available to work overtime on a regular weekly basis.
- Follow and maintain all safety protocols and housekeeping requirements
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Catia V5 Basic Experience or other CAD system preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading is preferred; training will be provided as necessary.
- Use a variety of clerical/soft skills to provide comprehensive organizational support
- Proficient verbal and written communication
- Quality and safety mindset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and work as a team
- High School diploma or GED required-some college preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Sitting or standing for long periods of time, lifting loads up to 15 pounds, bending, stooping, twisting.
- Ability to read and analyze information
- Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
- Organization and time management to manage multiple tasks at once
- Decisiveness and good judgment to address pressing matters when time is limited
- Use a variety of clerical/soft skills to provide comprehensive organizational support
Position Type/Expected Work Hours:
Work is scheduled for overtime each week.
