What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at VisionFirst Eye Care?
VisionFirst is accepting applications for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing team. This position is very customer service driven, and gives you the opportunity to work directly with our patients over the phone or online to assist them with their scheduling needs.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Scheduling appointments for multiple locations as well as online appointment requests.

Evaluating doctor’s schedules to ensure smart scheduling.

Preparing/mailing recall notices to patients.

Electronically sending new patient paperwork.
-
Obtaining insurance authorizations.

Making reminder phone calls to patients.
-
Performing various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
A successful candidate will have the following qualities:

Prior experience in a scheduling or a call center environment preferred but not required

Excellent customer service skills
-
Advanced computer skills, experience with an EHR system is helpful

Highly organized and detail-oriented
-
Strong communication skills
-
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

Must be able to manage your time while meeting goals and assigned metrics
