Title: Life Science Project Manager
Life Science Project Manager
The Life Science Project Manager will manage key Life Science and Healthcare projects and is a subject matter expert on the programming, planning, execution, and closeout of Life Science specific projects. They will oversee all aspects of their projects; set deadlines, be accurate and timely in the preparation of detailed drawings, inventories, assigning responsibilities, managing budget and vendors, communicating effectively with all stakeholders, summarizing project progress and preparing reports for management regarding project status. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, within scope, while demonstrating a passion for Visions Management’s “client first” approach. Equipment planning and coordination responsibilities include but may not be limited to the inventory, drawings, communication with end users, vendor coordination, cost estimates, budget management, equipment procurement, as built verification, decommissioning, recommissioning, validation, and schedule management, receiving, delivery and installation oversight during all phases of a project.
Position Goals

Role/Responsibilities
- Work with the Visions Management Executive team to prepare fee proposals and general scope.
- Act as the main point of contact between Visions Management and the client.
- Manage all aspects of the contract from fee negotiation to project scheduling, inventory, RFP development, planning, project oversight, closeout, etc.)
- Participates in planning meetings hosted by the client, contractor and/or other key
- Host Move/Planning related project meetings.
- Establish move project goals and objectives, making changes where necessary to ensure desired project results.
- Develop and implement move project plan and budget through collaboration with the key stakeholders.
- Prepare/update project status reports, review invoices and ensure timely payment, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence.
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost- effective
- Incorporate best practices into move
- Consult with key stakeholders on lab space planning, equipment specification and relocation requirements.
- Prepare space plans utilizing Blue Beam or CAD.
- Ensure move processes are managed in accordance with the client’s policies and
- Proactively manage project-related issues
- Manage supporting suppliers (technology, furniture, movers, riggers, etc.)
- Evaluate vendors to ensure compliance with Visions Management’s standards of
- Manage projects to meet targeted financial goals set by Visions Management
- Promote Visions Management services to prospective clients.
- Ensure all project initiation, execution and closeout documentation are
- Comply with all Visions Management’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to time & expenses, ethics, and business
Technology Proficiencies
- Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of technologies with strong Microsoft Excel and Project

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience
- 5 years of experience working with architects and owners in clinical environments in a Project Manager role.
- Advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and code requirements.
- Expert knowledge of laboratory industry benchmarking, programming with end-users, detailed lab planning and documentation, scientific equipment programming and utilities coordination, lab casework selection, as well as design for process, lab MEP, and other architectural systems.
- Ability to work with end users to develop process flows, planning process and critical adjacencies of research and laboratory rooms for optimum efficiency and flexibility.
- Demonstrable working technical knowledge and skill set to guide discussions for laboratory room/space development in conjunction with equipment and other technical attributes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal
- Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized with strong analytical skills, detail oriented
