Visions Treatment Centers is seeking a skilled Part-Time Dietician to join our team at our adolescent, residential facilities. The role involves providing nutritional counseling, developing individualized meal plans, and ensuring that residents receive optimal nutrition to support their mental health and overall well-being. The Dietician will collaborate with medical and therapeutic staff to enhance residents’ health and recovery outcomes. This position requires a compassionate and knowledgeable individual with a strong background as a Dietician, as well as a passion for making a meaningful, positive impact in the field of mental health and addiction recovery.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Nutritional assessment and counseling: conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ dietary needs and provide tailored counseling
- Create and implement individualized meal plans that align with residents’ physical and mental health needs, addressing specific conditions and ensuring balanced, nutritious meals
- Work closely with facility therapists, physicians, and other care providers to integrate nutrition into holistic treatment plans
- Evaluate and adjust meal plans as necessary based on the progress of residents, making changes to address evolving needs or treatment goals
- Offer education and training to both residents and staff
- Provide nutritional counseling and guidance during moments of crisis, including when residents are experiencing challenges related to mental health or substance abuse recovery
- Maintain accurate records of all residents’ nutritional assessments, counseling sessions, and meal plans
- Prepare reports for internal meetings, progress reviews, or audits
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field. Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or program is required.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent certification. State licensure.
- Experience: Experience working in a clinical or residential setting is preferred. Familiarity with the intersection of mental health, addiction recovery, and nutrition is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
SCHEDULE
- This is a part-time role, about 15-20 hours a week. Flexible hours between 9am-5pm.
- Based on facility requirements and candidate's availability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office and residential home environment. Ability to lift and transport related supplies.
- Travel: Travel to other office locations, facilities, or events will be required.

Salary : $40 - $45
