What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Educator position at Visions Treatment Centers?
The Lead Educator will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the classroom.In addition, the Lead Educator will have demonstrated creativity, flexibility, and experience engaging with clients, making assessments and treatment recommendations. Preferred candidates for this position will also likely have advanced training and experience with teaching troubled teens and as well as knowledge of recovery. This position will likely include varying shifts and on-call responsibilities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Closely monitor and update individualized plans for all students curricular goals
- Communicate regularly with students school or record (if needed) to submit completed work and acquire new course work
- Organize and maintain student files using Google Drive
- Complete/oversee daily communication protocol including (but not limited to) Daily Goal Trackers, Tutor Request Forms, Daily Progress Reports, Weekly Teacher Audits, School Attendance, Weekly Parent Update, Tutor Response Forms etc.
- Maintain regular and consistent communication with parents, advocates or family points of contact
- Organize, monitor and facilitate daily tutoring sessions with In-House and/or Independent Tutors
- Plan, facilitate and/or teach school-wide lessons/guest speakers/learning activities to enhance student engagement
- Provide nurturing environment and close, intensive supervision / security for all clients
- Adhere to Visions facility, department, personnel and standard policies and procedures, including safety policies and safe work practices
- Maintain professional competence by attending conferences, workshops, educational programs and related trainings
- Maintain professional license, CPR and Restraint Training
- Work effectively with team
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree required, Master preferred
- Strong knowledge of high school graduation requirements and college entrance requirements
- Minimum of five years experience working with adolescents and families (preferably in treatment and / or mental health setting with a strong understanding of systematic theoretical orientation)
- Strong ability to multitask and problem solve
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards
- High degree of clinical knowledge and competence
- Completion of Background Check, including criminal history and fingerprinting
- Maintain current CPI and CPR certification
- Valid drivers license
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
