Job Overview :
LSI is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to assist employees with troubleshooting and resolving computer-related issues. The ideal candidate will have experience handling hardware and software inquiries, managing IT systems, and providing excellent technical support. Starting pay will range from $29-$26 hr .
Responsibilities :
Assist users with software installations, troubleshooting, and hardware-related issues.
Communicate regularly with the support team to address recurring IT problems.
Provide user training on hardware and software as needed.
Manage helpdesk tickets, escalating Tier 2 issues as required.
Maintain and assign VOIP desk phones for employees.
Administer and troubleshoot printer issues, including coordinating vendor repairs.
Troubleshoot hardware, network, and configuration issues.
Manage remote connectivity / VPN access for employees.
Create and manage Active Directory, Email, and Epicor accounts.
Install and maintain desktop applications.
Administer Ninja RMM for remote access and Windows updates.
Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Strong understanding of computer software, hardware, and networking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other IT-related applications.
Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance.
Preferred Technical Experience :
Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Suite
Ninja RMM, VMware vSphere / Horizon, Remote Desktop
Command Line & PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy Management
DHCP, DNS
Knowledge of Trend Micro Hosted Email Security, Epicor ERP, AutoDesk / SolidWorks is a plus
Education & Experience :
BA in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
At least two years of relevant IT support experience.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when needed.
