RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of our Director of Property Management include, but are not limited to:
- Optimizing operational efficiency and scaling capacity to support growth, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and compliance risks, and implementing automation and new technologies to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and ensure operational capacity aligns with business growth.
- Ensuring compliance and staying ahead of industry trends, continuously engaging with legal updates and regulatory standards to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and implement process improvements.
- Driving innovation and identifying cost-saving opportunities through creative problem-solving and the integration of advanced technology, optimizing processes to improve profitability while scaling operations and maintaining service quality.
- Leading cross-functional collaboration across property management, maintenance, and finance teams, ensuring seamless coordination, resource alignment, and accountability using tools like EOS, dashboards, and scorecards to drive performance.
- Building and mentoring a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Managing communication and relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring timely updates, addressing concerns, and aligning with their goals to minimize disruptions and maximize satisfaction.
- Managing day-to-day operations and leading process improvements to maintain smooth workflows, meet deadlines, and ensure both company and regulatory standards are met without compromising service quality.
** This full-time, in-person role includes occasional regional travel within Southern California. **
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3 years of operations leadership experience in property management
- 5 years of people management experience
- California real estate license
- Tech-savvy, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite
Preferred
- Experience with AppFolio
- P&L ownership experience
- Experience in multiple roles within property management
- Collaboration with marketing departments
- Experience with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
- Experience in a property management company with 1,000 or more units
Desired
- Certified Property Manager (CPM)
- Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
- Experience with government contracts

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 plus profit sharing bonuses
