We are seeking an experienced and reliable website designer to be on call for ongoing design updates, the creation of new pages, and website enhancements as needed.
Role Overview:
The on-call website designer will collaborate with our team to ensure that our website, visitoakdale.com, remains visually engaging, user-friendly, and up-to-date with our latest marketing initiatives. This role requires someone who is proactive, skilled in web design and development, and familiar with the Wix platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design Updates: Regularly update and refine the visual and functional aspects of the website while maintaining brand consistency.
- Page Creation: Design and develop new landing pages to support marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Content Updates: Add new content, such as team information, reports, meeting minutes, and promotional materials.
- Website Optimization:
- Perform audits of site structure, content, and navigation to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Optimize the website for mobile devices to ensure full responsiveness.
- Conduct ongoing SEO enhancements for improved search engine visibility.
- Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and solutions for any website-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in designing and managing websites on the Wix platform.
- Strong portfolio showcasing website redesigns and marketing-focused page creation, especially for tourism or destination marketing organizations.
- Proficiency in responsive design, UX/UI principles, and mobile optimization.
- Experience conducting SEO audits and implementing best practices for search engine ranking.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on tight deadlines.
