The role provides administrative, clerical and organizational support for the conventions team. The sales team is responsible for promoting and booking Seattle and the region as a convention and meeting destination, while Services is the direct point of contact for meeting and convention clients, providing destination services, and conducting planning visits for upcoming confirmed meetings and conventions.
This position is a 3–6-month internship with the opportunity to transition into full-time based on performance and business needs.
This position is expected to be 100% in person.
What you’ll do:
· Provide administrative sales and services support for the conventions team to include organizing, typing, copying, collating and filing materials.
· Enter, process, and distribute leads in Visit Seattle’s CRM.
· Assemble and deliver customer gifts.
· Coordinate appointments and itineraries for site inspections, planning visits and other schedules.
· Manage room block commitment responses and help prepare bids.
· Preparation of correspondence and reports as directed by the conventions team.
· Assist with other projects and tasks related to booking and servicing meetings.

· Be able to work onsite. This position is not available for remote work.
· Ability to be flexible, nimble and display incredible adaptability to changing needs.
· Strong service approach and shows finesse with both internal and external customers.
· Able to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain organization.
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language, English, used in the workplace
