Overview: Visit York County is an organization with a focus on attractions and market tourism in York County. This paid internship focuses on sports tourism, providing hands-on experience in managing and marketing sports events, working with event partners, and assisting with event coordination and promotional efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Works with vendors needed for the events, apparel, DJ, announcer, chairs, food, security, etc.
· Generates reports for events, economic impact totals and hotel room nights.
· Designs images, schedules, and other content for promotion of the events.
· Collecting data from events
· Greet and assist visitors at the front desk of the Visitor Center, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.

Requirements:
· Enrolled undergraduate or graduate level student
· Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
Work Environment:
· Flexible work hours between Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm
· Length of internship: 10 – 15 weeks; 20 - 40 hours per week (negotiable)
· Ability to work weekends
*The stipend for this internship will be determined based on the intern's availability to the position.
Salary : $400 - $700
