Description
Visitation is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Math Interventionist to join our dedicated faculty. The Math Interventionist will support students in grades K–8 who require targeted math instruction and remediation, collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure all students have the opportunity to grow in both academic confidence and mathematical understanding. This individual will integrate Catholic values into instruction and foster a learning environment rooted in compassion, excellence, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group instruction to students identified as needing math intervention, using data-driven strategies and best practices.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention plans aligned with school curriculum and student learning goals.
- Assess student progress regularly, progress monitor, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and communicate progress with teachers and parents.
- Assist in the analysis of school-wide math performance data to identify trends and areas of need.
- Support implementation of school-wide math initiatives and provide instructional support to faculty as needed.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and Catholic faith formation activities.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid teaching certification (state-specific or diocesan requirements)
- Experience teaching or providing intervention in math at the elementary or middle school level
- Strong knowledge of math content, instruction, and intervention strategies
- Ability to use student data to inform instruction
- Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills: - Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Familiarity with Catholic school curriculum standards
- Comfort with technology tools used for math instruction and data tracking (e.g., iReady)
